Comfort Food

Well the deep freeze of late has not left Flagstaff immune!  Work has been stressful as the semester comes to an end and the days are getting shorter. With the cold temps and increased stress my heart yearns for warm comforting foods.  Rob ran a great race to end his season last weekend in San Francisco and is back to settle in for a mellow winter. So I figured the best way to get through this week was to make Rob’s favorite satisfying, comforting dishes with a dessert thrown in for good measure.  Things got a bit crazy at the end of the week so no pictures for the last couple recipes, I promise when I make them again I will add pics! Here is a summary of the week:

Monday:  Tofu Po’ Boys

Tuesday:  Black Pepper Tofu

Wednesday: Mac and Cheese

Thursday:  BBQ Tempeh Sandwiches

Friday: Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese

Saturday:  Pizza Night

Treats to snack on all week:  Peanut Butter Ice Cream & Buttermilk Chocolate Cake
